Mary Stroeing

Mary has been a positive, encouraging co-worker to me from the first time I met her. She has a calm "can do" demeanor and takes everything in stride. She is always willing to help out other nurses. With her patients she is kind, compassionate, organized, efficient and always goes the extra mile to be sure her patient's are comfortable and cared for with attention to every detail. She extends herself to the families of her patients and makes sure that they know what is happening with their loved one, and know what they need to know to care for their loved one when the time comes for discharge. We are also inspired by Mary's sense of balance in her life and the way she excels in both her professional and personal life. She is an accomplished artist who shares her art with the Harborview community during the annual art exhibits. Mary is an excellent mentor to newer RN's, a wonderful colleague, and an important asset to the acute care float pool team.
