Melanie Reichmuth

We had the pleasure of meeting our dad's nurse, Melanie, on our dad's birthday! We were so excited she was his nurse the next day too. My brother and I really struggled with the thought of our dad not knowing about his prognosis after his surgery. Melanie took it upon herself to call the doctors (one after the other) to get an oncologist to come in and explain the situation. Our dad said Melanie reminded him of me because she gets things done, is on top of everything, but manages to do it all with a very caring heart. We will never forget her and her willingness to do anything to make our dad comfortable, almost like she's read his mind! We know our dad only has a short time here on earth because of the large overtaking his body and nobody should go without all of their dignity. Melanie ensures that is the case with her patients. If nobody else nominates Melanie for this cool award it's only because they didn't know about it or forgot to grab a brochure! Melanie is so deserving of a pat on the back. Thank you so much for helping us get through this extremely difficult time.
