Melissa Freeman

Nobody can love your child like you do but it always help when a stranger shows love and kindness during difficult times. Nurse Melissa Freeman has shown that kindness. I know that all nurses have more than one patient but the few minutes Melissa shares with us made a difference in our stay on 2C.  My son who has severe cerebral palsy loves her. She treated him like a person and he just smiled when she was around. It’s not always the big things it’s the little things that make it better. I or should I say we, my son and I were treated like we were family and that made a great difference in our stay. All the nurses and staff were nice, but Melissa Freeman was the best. From the kindness shown to the caring words or just a smile gave us the confidence that all was alright. We think Melissa deserves The DAISY Award for going the extra mile.
