Melissa Gerlach

One of Missy’s outpatients called her stating there was a problem with the insulin needle so Missy took them a new needle to their home.  The wife of the patient met Missy at the gate because it had snowed and the gate was frozen shut.  Missy called her after she got home and offered to come back and shovel the area so they could get out if need be.  The wife was very appreciative and impressed with Missy’s kindness. She thanked her and shared that she had a friend coming to do that later in the day. 

The person whom nominated Missy said “I can not even begin to share the numerous stories that I have heard and witnessed regarding Missy’s patience and kindness that she extends to her diabetic patient population and families.
