Michelle Meyer

Michelle is an excellent critical care nurse. She deserves to be a recipient of The DAISY Award because she not only has superb clinical skills; she is also a team player in her unit. She mentors for less experienced nurses and she is a compassionate nurse to her patients. She is always eager to take on the most challenging assignment. She is patient advocate. She protects her patients as a mother would protect her children. Michelle has saved many lives with her nursing care. Last night once a gain she showed her excellence and stewardship when she volunteered to take care of  an extremely sick patient who required therapeutic hypothermia treatment. She gave her easier patient to the other nurses and she   was  willing to  accepted the most critical patient on our unit. As always, she did an excellent job and left the unit at the next morning with a smile on her face. It is a pleasure and privilege to work with a nurse like Michelle.
