Nancy Crisler

I would like to nominate Nancy Crisler for The DAISY Award.

Nancy demonstrates compassion not only to her patients but to other staff members. I have received several comments from nursing leaders in regards to the time that she takes and spends with her patients. Ostomy care or a dressing change is not just another task for Nancy. She cares for patients with a holistic approach. She spends the time to talk, comfort, and listen as many patients that she deals with have experienced life altering and body image issues. She involves the patient in the care that she delivers. I have never heard Nancy talk about any of her patient experiences in a negative light. She finds a positive story or light to the patient experience and approaches each patient with empathy.

Nancy understands and knows that patients needs are met and her approach is for a positive patient experience.
