Neal Loving

Neal received several nominations, including these:

"Neal has been a phenomenal nurse. He explains everything that he is doing very well and then explains why. He has very courteous bedside manner. Not only is he good and explanatory to the patient but the family and friends. I think that he deserves not only this award but a big "Ol" medal!"

"Neal called our room on his day off to check on how we were doing. He also called over to the Jackson Medical Mall while we received radiation to see if we needed anything. He is very kind and explained his every action in detail."

"During my son-in-laws stay at UMC, Neal was so helpful to us. He explained every procedure and process, told us what to expect, what to watch for and what was "routine." The injury was a serious hip injury that required sensitive care and lots of information about rehab and recovery. He was outstanding in providing both."

Neal Loving definitely deserves to receive the DAISY Award. His compassionate care for the patients and their families is outstanding, and the help he gives to staff when he's charging is above board in my book. But of course if we were alone on a small boat in the middle of the ocean I would rather kiss an octopus in the mouth. But still in all Neal is my nominee for the DAISY Award!!!
