Nicole Markowski
Nicole was nominated by a grateful patient: I was recently a patient at St. Luke’s. During the two weeks I was in the hospital I received a diagnosis of Terminal Bile Duct Cancer. May I say without Nicole, Permanent Despair was a possibility. Nicole was there to hold and hug me and help me come to terms with the issues surrounding my newly diagnosed illness and to care for me with her best skills. She was kind, gentle, genuinely caring and incredibly compassionate. She is everything a patient hopes for in a nurse during a crucial time. You are fortunate to have medical professionals of her caliber on your staff, and so am I.
