Patricia Staples

I am nominating Pat Staples for a DAISY award because she epitomizes all the criteria for this award and much more. I find it hard to pin point one situation that demonstrates her superb skills and knowledge. She is a great source of information and if she does not know the answer, she goes out of her way to find it. On the weekends, she wears many hats. She carries the surgery scheduler, the bed board, patient advocate and house supervisor. She not only attends all code blues but also STEMIs and RRT. I could not have asked for a better supervisor, co-worker and friend. I witness on numerous occasions her compassion for patients, their families, her employees and co-workers.

Pat is a true inspiration and one of my heros!
