It is not just one good deed, but over 40 days of showing her concern for not just my physical but emotional well being. Besides the pain and medications and tests that filled my days, missing my family and the sadness of dealing with it all, often ended in tears, but most of the time it was Rita who lended a hand or hug even before or after her shift and not being my nurse she would stop in and be my positive cheering section. She let me know that she wasn't just a nurse, but an advocate of good will and making sure my life was the best it could be while I was on 4E.
