Robert Farino
I received a phone call this morning from a patient who was seen in the ED last Thursday. He is HIV positive and was treated here for pneumonia and sinusitis. He commented that the entire staff was exceptional and heard about our DAISY Award program. His RN was Robert Farino, Jr. who treated him “like a person, not a thing”. He commented that when most people learn that he is HIV positive, their attitudes toward him are not so kind. He mentioned that Robert was more than kind, that he was compassionate and understanding. To show his appreciation, he would like to nominate Robert for the DAISY Award. |
