Rosemarie Badalato

As you may or may not know being in the hospital can be really scary. I was admitted to Westchester Medical Center for a heart and kidney transplant.  I was really nervous.  Then I met Rosemarie, who with her smile and great attitude put me at ease.  She spoke to me when I needed reassurance.  She never failed to ask me how I was doing.  She made me feel as if I were her only patient.  She never rushed her time with me.  I really felt she cared about me and made me more comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. The doctors were not always there to answer my questions and address my concerns, but Rosemarie was.

I am nominating Rosemarie for a DAISY Award because she is not just a Nurse but she is an extraordinary one.  She is compassionate, always with a smile and the special medicine patients need – TLC.  No one should be in the hospital, but if they are, having a nurse like Rosemarie makes it easier.  Thank you from the bottom of my new heart and kidney for giving me this opportunity to honor Rosemarie.
