Roy Godwin

Roy was nominated by a patient's wife who was also a Nurse:

My husband was in MCICU for one month due to H1N1 and respiratory failure.  Roy took care of him on many occasions during that period.  Having been a nurse myself for 25 years, I recognize nursing excellence.  Roy was kind, compassionate and had excellent nursing skills. The thing though that stands out was his advocacy for my husband, and his ability to teach.  He advocated strongly and in turn, had me advocate as well. He took the time to teach and was a very effective listener.  Never once did he lose patience with me-an hysterical wife.  Roy deserves this award and MCICU is lucky to him on staff.  Thank you!
