Ryan Huntington

Recently, I spent 14 days in and out of Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center because my mother was admitted by ambulance to your hospital for a broken hip compounded with complications from a weakened heart. Usually the third day after surgery is a rough day and true to form my mother was having a very rough day. The emotions were running high. Ryan was assigned as her nurse that day and he worked and worked with her to make her more comfortable. At one point she was having difficulty taking her medicine and Ryan just kept patiently talking to her and this went on for a good half hour and he never gave up or lost his patience with her. The minute Ryan walked into the room I knew my mother was going to have an exceptional nurse. I instantly knew Ryan loved his job and he really cared for his patients. He addressed my mother by her name which demonstrated the respect he has for his patients, it shows he really cares. Ryan spoke to my mother like she was the most important person in the world, and to me and my family, she is. Ryan has mastered the Spirit of Excellence, he sets a great example for others to follow. I will forever remember Ryan for his dedication and service, and thank him from all of our family.
