Sarah Tesdall

Sarah's patient suffered a stroke and was somewhat distraught.  Sarah was able to reassure him that he would be experiencing difficult challenges, but would be able to overcome these challenges.  He connected with her and felt comfortable in her care.  She took the time to explain and talk about the tests that he would be having and the medications he would be taking.  He likes to joke with people and she was able to respond and smile in a comforting way. She has a very positive attitude and does her job very well with great expertise.  She informed her patient and spouse of what to expect and relayed information so that they understood. 

In their nomination of Sarah, they included the statement that Sarah is an extraordinary nurse, deserving of the honor of The DAISY Award.
