Sarah Treibold

Sarah Treibold, RN, Oncology, MeritCare, is very deserving of the award according to the co-worker that nominated her:

“Sarah cares very deeply for her patients and carefully watches over them and protects them from harm. She is an example of caring for the whole patient, encouraging patients to care for themselves and respecting patients where they are on their journey. Sarah is a role model in how she guides patients to take another step in their journey.

Recently, Sarah was caring for a patient who was young and had a young family. This was a very sad situation in which Sarah did not take over the journey but very tenderly and carefully guided them through it into a whole new and unfamiliar territory. This young woman was dying and Sarah did an exemplary job in being “with’ them in the situation. Sarah is very compassionate and gentle. Sarah does her best to make very difficult situations positive experiences.”
