Shavon Thompson

During my recent open heart surgery (which was an extremely scary event for me), Shavon provided excellent medical treatment as my ICU nurse.  One would normally expect this at CMC-Mercy.  What was special and what I consider “above and beyond” was the emotional support she provided.  She was my “cheerleader”, continually supporting and reinforcing and creating a positive attitude in my mind.  I believe that a positive attitude in the patient of this complex and risky operation is essential for success.  From the time I awoke with multiple tubes and hoses in my body, until I left the ICU, Shavon was my inspirational cheerleader.  Thank you, Shavon!!
