"I was sharing with medication nurse, Shirley, this morning about my experience of looking at the wall where they have this picture displaying spiritual gardening.

One day last week, I was feeling down about life in general and radiation treatment for cancer. That I went by and looked at the wall where it has Faith, Hope, Love, and spiritual gardening. It really lifted up my spirits to know there is Hope and Love and spiritual nourishment from the nurses.

Early this week I showed a friend this same thing and she said it was beautiful. It encourages me to have faith and hope that everything are going to be all right."

Shirley Beard, LVN is very compassionate towards her residents in CLC. She went over and beyond to take time with this resident and encourage him in a “Caritas Moment”.

Mrs. Beard was very inspirational in creating the caritas wall in NU 1D.
