Stephanie was nominated by her patient, who wrote:
In addition to post surgery pain, I had an extremely painful bladder infection. It was a very long and painful night. Stephanie said her mission was to have me out of pain by morning. Like clockwork, she came in every hour and administered my pain medication. By morning the pain was tolerable. She treated me like I was a family member she truly cared about. This meant so much to me. Instead of feeling alone, in pain, vulnerable, and at the mercy of what would or would not happen after pushing a button for help, I knew I could count on her help; she would be there for me, and she was.
Her compassion, empathy and kindness calmed and reassured me. I feel she was most instrumental in my recovery. This lovely young lady has not only found a job and a career, she has found her calling. Any patient fortunate enough to have her as their nurse is benefitting from the best Burlington has to offer.
Stephanie truly deserves this award as well as any other accolades you can bestow upon her. She is TRULY an outstanding member of your staff and I feel her contributions on your behalf should be rewarded. It was a pleasure to meet her and my good fortune to have been one of her patients.
