Sue Sirianni

Sue was nominated by the director of Cardiovascular Services: The Angio department was called in for a 26 y/o female trauma victim with a lacerated liver. The patient had gone to the OR, but they were unable to stop the bleeding. The patient was sent onto the Interventional Radiology Lab to find the source of the bleed. In effect, the patient was bleeding out the whole time. I lost track of the number of blood products, drugs, and interventions that occurred during the two hours she was in the Angiography Lab. Sue was an inspiration to everyone present. She remainder calm, focused and was a role model to everyone on the team. She kept everyone on point and was a valuable team leader. It is quite apparent that she has been in the role before, as she does it so naturally. Please consider her for the DAISY Award. The nursing profession is very luck to have her as one of their own.
