Tina Moore

Watching the caring manor Tina used with a patient last week reminded me why I became a nurse.  This patient just received news she had cancer and was very fearful.  Her family was very difficult to deal with and Tina was not only able to bridge the gap and reach out to them, she assured this patient she would stay with her and help her get through the next several hours and days.  The patient’s heart rate and rhythm were dangerously high at the time, and she would be getting a port the next day and starting chemo.  There was a group of nurses and a physician at the bedside treating her and Tina quietly spoke reassuring words to this patient, helping to keep her calm.  This family had full confidence their mother was being cared for to the best of our abilities based on all the compassion showed to them and their mother by Tina Moore.  She certainly made a difference in this patient’s life.
