Tonya Knight
Tonya Knight, a nurse on 4 West was selected as the March DAISY Award winner. Tonya was nominated by a patient, visitor and director because of the compassionate care she continually gives her patients. “She appears to have 100% heart in her job,” one visitor said. Another patient recently acknowledged Tonya’s kindness, stating that Tonya even prayed with her when she was frightened and checked on her even after her shift was over. These examples speak to the genuine, attentive, and comforting care worthy of the DAISY Award recognition.
