Travis Gunn was selected by the Nurse Excellence Council as the DAISY winner for April. He was nominated based on a letter received from a patient stating the following:

All my nurses introduced themselves and were very kind. They did not get impatient with me. When I needed something, I did not wait long at all before getting help. There was a male nurse who literally sat with me all night the day of my surgery. He was so angelic and gave me ice chips, and nurtured me. I wish to thank him for sitting with me during of the night.
