Valerie's patient wrote:

"I was admitted due to an injury I sustained by falling off a golf cart while it was in motion.  Valerie was my nurse for 3 days and was very attentive and concerned with my pain.  I was getting confused when things were told to me and Valerie took the time to explain, apologize and hugged me when I needed it.  It was time for me to get washed but I felt a lot of anxiety because I didn’t want anyone to help me and be in the room while I showered.  Valerie was able to come up with a suggestion of how this could be accomplished so it would be safe for me to wash alone without the possibility of me injuring myself further.  Valerie made a point to peek in on me at least every half hour if not sooner during her shift.  I felt that Valerie treated me the way she would want her own children treated in that type of situation.  She was very informative with all of my care and explained everything so I understood".
