Virginia Contreras

The Daisy Committee is celebrating the extraordinary nursing care delivered by Virginia Contreras who is a House Float in our Staffing Resources department.  The simple fact that Virginia floats to different units and has many different patients without the advantage of a consistent patient assignment made a big impression on our Daisy committee when she was nominated by one of her patients.  As we read her nomination, we noted it was brief, written with a very unsteady hand and very sincere.

I give a lot of thanks and love to a very prompt person on this Miami Valley Hospital Unit.  Virginia was there for me at all critical times.  That made me very comfortable and happy.  I thank her from the bottom of my heart.  May God bless her and love her.  I do.

The Daisy Award recognizes compassionate care delivered everyday at MVH.  Virginia’s compassion, attention to detail and exceptional care made a difference for this patient and undoubtedly countless others.
