Wendy Barnes

On March 23rd my grandma was admitted for shortness of breath and R side weakness, possible CVA. My grandma can be very obstinant and she was difficult to care for because she wants help but she is afraid and she is very cantankerous. I was at the end of my patience level but Wendy Barnes was calm, caring and understanding the entire time. Despite my grandma refusing care and her angry voice, Wendy just put all of grandma's issues into words we could all understand. She said she knew and respected her for not wanting to prolong her life with added medical care. She told her the tests would show her what the problems were and then it was her choice what to do about it. After that grandma settled down and allowed them to do their job. Wendy treated Grandma in a calm and loving and caring manner. She is truly a wonderful nurse and if she can handle my grandma, she can handle anything!
