Nomination #1 Wilmer not only does what he is supposed to do as a nurse, but he does it with a certain joy that makes a patient comfortable with the way he cares for you. He goes the extra mile in providing care, as well as having the feeling of being at home here at St. Rose. Little things that matter – he makes sure that we have them. If we have any request, he makes sure he follows up on them. Sometimes, a smile or a simple question about how I feel just makes the difference. Nomination #2 Wilmer is not just a regular nurse, but an extraordinary nurse. He makes sure his patient is comfortable. He also changed the bedding and took out the trash for us instead of waiting for the housekeepers. He has a personal touch not just to patients, but also to the immediate family. He knows his job so well, is very precise, on time, and does jobs that others should do when he knows they are shorthanded. He always has a smile on his face whenever he comes into the room. As soon as he arrives, he will say hello not even knowing that he will be our nurse. He is a one of a kind nurse who I will recommend and would love to have take care of me again.
