Alfreda Butler

Alfreda Butler, RN was nominated by members of our Surgical staff for her dedication, ingenuity and nursing skill in the creation of the surgical clinic at WIHCC. Alfreda has worked in the Surgical Specialty clinic for the past 5 years.  She has been invaluable in the development of the surgical clinic into a busy and essential part of medical care for WIHCC.

The nomination reads:

“Alfreda has played an essential role in the evolution of clinic. She developed her own methods of evaluating the charts beforehand and obtaining any clinical information necessary to facilitate the patient visit. Her preparation is why we can see so many patients in a day. She has been an advocate for patient education. Nurse Butler has obtained a wide variety of education materials for our patients including brochures, videos, books and more. She goes out of her way to contact patients when it is necessary for them to return sooner than initially expected.

She takes phone calls from all our patients for a variety of reasons including when they need to change their appointment or their day of surgery. Alfreda acts as both our registered nurse and clinical coordinator.”
