Ami Mabie

My husband came to Aurora Lakeland Medical Center and to the emergency room on October 16, 2011. He was admitted to ICU that evening and he passed away on October 22, 2011. Ami was his nurse while he was in ICU. Ami is definitely in the right profession, as her tenderness and caring for her patient touched his family also. She was such a caring person for all of us. I loved that she would touch his hand and say “Honey, I’m sorry but I have to prick your finger again”, or her gentleness and tenderness when moving him to different positions. 

Our experience in ICU was above and beyond expectations, because of this wonderful nurse. She not only took excellent care of Tom, but always made sure his family had drinks or were made comfortable. The rest of the staff was wonderful also, but Ami stood out in our minds as the perfect person to take care of our husband, father and grandfather during his last few days on earth.
