Austin Gamble

Austin Gamble has been in the Emergency Department working as a nurse for a number of years. I have always found him to be incredibly detail oriented and thorough. I had the opportunity to experience his care, not as a colleague, but as a family member of his patient. My father came to the ED with atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response. While I knew the protocol and expectations of what was to happen during the course of his stay, Austin was great at communicating the plan of care to us and keeping us updated about laboratory findings. He was very caring and kind, and my parents had nothing but nice things to say about him. It’s rare to get the patients perspective when you’re so used to being the clinician, however this experience paired with my consistent impression of his very capable demeanor has prompted this nomination.

Austin is a very positive team player in the ED. He is patient focused and always has their best interests at heart. A true team player, Austin is always willing to go above and beyond for his patients.

Austin is a very kind, compassionate, patient, and caring nurse. He is a great role model and resource person. He pays great attention to detail and practices safe nursing. He is a team player and never complains about his workload.
