Beth Russell

Beth Russell has devoted herself to the Marion General Hospital Forensic Nurse Team, providing medical/forensic care to her patients. She is an excellent resource for her patients, as well as her coworkers. Surveys received from Beth’s patients always express their gratitude for the care that she provides, recognizing her compassion.

It is especially touching to witness Beth doing a medical/forensic exam with a pediatric patient. She is kind and open-hearted with her patients. The children have no fear when they enter the exam room with Beth. She plays with them and wins their confidence. After the exam, Beth demonstrates compassion for the parents and provides them with the same open-hearted attitude as they share their concerns with her. Beth is professional as she interacts with law enforcement and children services agencies within the seven surrounding counties.

Beth looks at the whole picture and is willing to help her patients and their families receive the comprehensive care that they deserve. It doesn’t matter if Beth sees one patient at a time or if there are multiple patients waiting for her exam. She gives each patient the care they deserve.

Being a member of the Forensic Nurse Team takes a lot of time commitment, but Beth doesn’t complain about the many on-call hours. She realizes there is a job to be done and she dedicates her time to care for victims of crime as well as the patients she cares for in the Emergency Department.
