Brittany Ellenburg

I wanted to recognize Brittany Underwood Ellenburg for the exceptional job that she did today in helping us with a patient. I placed a call to the ED because we were having a difficult time with a patient that Urgent Care had requested we send to the ED. Brittany came out to help with the situation as well and stood by the entire time ready to assist in any way that she could, and talked with the patient’s friend in a very polite manner. I was very impressed and appreciative of Brittany because there was also a child of about 8-10 years of age involved in the situation and Brittany thought to get the child out of the situation and took her into the ED to keep her company and to remove her from the situation. This was an extremely necessary and super nice thing for her to do as we in Security could not remove the child to occupy her ourselves due to trying to help with the patient. Brittany stepped up to the plate and saw where she could help and offered immediate assistance, and later as the child left I heard her exclaim to her mother that she wanted to hang out with Brittany more often because she was so nice. Brittany showed honest concern for the child and I have no doubt that she made the girl’s day 100 percent better by her act of un-paralleled kindness. I could never thank her enough for her compassion to a small child in an intense situation. Wonderful!
