Brooke Burlage

Brooke Burlage is definitely a great asset to your team.  She is always on top of things.  She treats you as a patient not a number.  She has lab results and test results as soon as they come back.  Even if they aren’t the best news, she encourages you to fight and to keep hanging in there.

I was having a bad day on Saturday and she was in and out of my room to check on me.  She had my medicine ready for me as soon as it was due.  I find it hard to believe that she has only been a nurse for one year as her bedside manner and caring and concern go way beyond that.  My family even commented on it.  She is helping me to deal with being back in here as I didn’t want to come back in here.  But, the doctor felt differently. It has taken a toll on me but Brooke has been talking to me and telling me that I am a strong lady and I need to keep fighting.

She is not only a good nurse; she is a very good person.  She has definitely helped me a great deal.  I don’t mind letting you know so you can in turn let her know, as she is by far one of the best nurses you have.  I hope you let her read this as being a rather new nurse I know from experience that there are times when you second guess yourself.  I don’t see that in Brooke.  She seems very confident and strong.  Please encourage her to continue to follow that same path, as she will continue to encourage her patients to fight and want to live.

The words that I have written on this paper were written from my heart and soul because Brooke has touched my heart and soul and my family’s heart and soul, and that takes a lot.  Brooke please continue to be yourself, don’t change anything as you are just about perfect the way you are!  You are a very special person.
