“We had a patient that had an injury. He lost his job as a trucker, and lost his truck. His wife and he were truly destitute. Cindy fought for the BEST care for the patient, collaborated with myself, others, and plastics, THEN secured a job for the patient’s wife working for her husband’s company. Cindy lives the mission of Trinity Mother Frances everyday with every patient. In this instance, she truly saved TWO lives with lots of kindness” 

“Cindy is one of the most dedicated patient advocates I have ever met. She is always looking for “ways” to provide care and supplies for those in need whether they are inpatient, discharged, or even via word of mouth that there is someone in the community who is in need. She has worked magic with enlisting the help of vendors and civic and community groups to provide for services and/or supplies for patients. Her Christian spirit even extends to ministering to the underserved in third world countries, as she uses her knowledge and generous spirit to tend to the ill. She recently completed one such trip to Guatemala. I also recently learned that she keeps her GI nurse expertise up-to-date by doing volunteer work at Bethesda Clinic. 

Her co-worker shares that Cindy certainly is known at Trinity Mother Frances (TMF) for her compassion, her loving and serving heart and her “can do attitude”. She is a multi-tasker who can wear you out just watching her keep all the things she does going! Her participation with the Texas Purchasing Coalition has helped save TMF tens of thousands of dollars while still insisting on the highest quality for our patients. Her busy life also includes taking the time to mentor another of her co-workers Brandi as she pursues her CWOCN certification”
