The following is just one example of her compassionate patient care: While under Debbie’s care, an elderly patient mentioned his upcoming birthday to her and that his birthday wish was for a new pair of gloves. The patient has no family support or contact. Debbie made a mental note about the patient’s wish. The patient was subsequently discharged to a nursing home. On the patient’s birthday, Debbie paid a visit to the nursing home and presented him with his new gloves – making his birthday very special.
