Dustin is very deserving of the award according to the patient that nominated him:

“Dustin deserves my nomination for the DAISY award due to his kind and compassionate personality, plus his clinical expertise. You can tell he loves what he is doing in the cardiology department. He was always pleasant and kind; coming in my room with a smile making me feel at ease. Dustin took the time to chat and soothe me when I had anxiety attacks due to my high blood pressure condition.”

The patient who nominated Dustin for the DAISY award was present for the presentation of the award. Upon leaving, Dustin presented his patient with the bouquet of daisies he received.
