Jaime Lopez Medina

From the patient family member: I graduated from LLUMC in 1986 and residing here at Glendale Adventist from the Family Practice Dept. in 1989. I currently practice HN medicine in Amarillo, Texas, but then on the night of November 4 after my dad suffered a stroke, Jaime was the very capable nurse many days my father was in the unit. He never seemed to sit down. He constantly made sure dad’s IV’s were running properly. His vital signs were good and he was turned often enough to prevent skin breakdown. Jaime also had enough experience and intelligence to be wise about my father’s care. He even realized that a lab result might be in error and had it repeated, preventing an unnecessary transfusion. And Jaime does this with a quiet confidence that instills comfort even to a doctor-daughter like myself during a very difficult time. Thanks, Jaime!
From Arous Kalenderian, SICU Head Nurse: Jaime has been with GAMC since October 2005. He is a very caring and compassionate RN. He is flexible in his work schedule and daily assignments while on duty, and is well liked by his peers, patients and family members. Jaime is also a great coach and preceptor for nurse students and interns. He is on the right track of continuing his nursing career in a BSN program to add to his knowledge at the bedside. Jaime is also trained for relief Charge Nurse responsibilities in SICU.
