Jana Baustert
In the photo, left is Anna Trutsch, Clinical Manager and right is Jana Baustert, winner Jana had been taking care of a patient who has been in and out of the hospital a lot lately. He has multiple things going on. On Sunday, June 26, 2011, it was the patient’s and his wife’s 40th wedding anniversary. Jana and a fellow nursing associate brought in flowers and a card to help them celebrate this special occasion. The next day, the patient became unstable and transferred to CCU. Later on the 27th, the patient was being transferred to U of M. When Jana found this out, she stopped what she was doing and went over to the CCU and tell the patient and family goodbye and good luck. This says a lot of Jana to take not only the extra step to get to know this patient and family but to go the extra mile and help them celebrate their day even though the patient and family had to spend it here in the hospital.
