Janet DiStaso

I would like to nominate Janet for The DAISY Award. I was giving her report on a patient that was going home. The patient was on a bed and the patient needed to be transferred from the bed to a wheelchair due to limited space in SDS. She came to the PACU brought the Geri chair. She helped me transfer the patient from the bed to the Geri chair. She helped me transport the patient back to SDS. I believe that her eagerness to help stems from her concern for the patient's comfort. When it is time for me to leave, she readily takes my patient assignment so that I can leave on time. As a former ICU nurse she handles her patient assignment from the most simple surgery to the more complex care with ease. She comes to PACU with a cheery smile and great attitude.
