Joan Pollak-Jenkins

Joan Pollak-Jenkins, RN is a DAISY Award winner. Joan is a staff member of CVICU where she has worked since 2001. Joan is a positive role model to both novice and seasoned nurses alike. I look up to her as my mentor. She is the type of nurse I hope to one day become. Nursing students run to Joan for homework questions almost on a daily basis. She truly is an inspiring representative to nursing. Joan serves as an example of dedication and commitment to true patient advocacy. She is completely devoted to her patients and forms a unique bond with them and their families. Her grace and generosity doesn’t end with her patients. She is a fantastic co-worker as well. She has more heart than anyone I know. She is more like family than a co-worker. We are honored to work beside her and learn all that she has to offer.
