Joanne Delisle

It is not unusual for OR staff to be called in to scrub or circulate for emergency procedures.  However, circumstances beyond one’s control often arise where one has to rise to the occasion and do what has to be done to save a life -- as it happened during an emergency abdominal aortic aneurysm when the vascular surgeon did not have an assistant and Joanne Delisle stepped in to do what was needed.  At no time did she say, “It’s not my job.” Or “I haven’t done this before.”  It was all about “Let’s get it done.”  Joanne consistently steps up to the plate with a positive attitude and sets her goal toward positive outcomes through teamwork, collaboration, and a pleasant demeanor, making the team feel comfortable and confident in their practice.
