Judith Flaherty
Judy Flaherty, LPN was nominated by a fellow nurse for her “going above and beyond.” In the nomination, the nurse described how Judy not only cared for her own patient, but for the patient’s roommate (who was assigned to the nurse making the nomination). When her patient’s roommate asked for rosary beads, Judy took the time to check the unit and clergy room, rather than redirecting the request to the patient’s nurse. “Judy found a package of rosary beads,” the nurse wrote. “My patient was very grateful, and I was, too. Judy went above and beyond, and this is how she conducts herself always.”
