Jui-Ling Chiu

Nurse Chiu Jui-Ling has been working in home care for about 15 years. She has seen and dealt with countless families and individual cases. Her work involves dealing with extremely complicated cases and facing difficult families with different issues. She never turns away those patients who need help under any circumstances. She stays on call at all times because she is worried that something will go wrong with her patients. Home care nurses have to be independent and have critical thinking skills in order to manage complex cases efficiently. Nurse Chiu always performed her job competently.

Our home care is just like a charity foundation. Patients usually donate their unwanted equipment such as wheelchairs, mattresses, suction units, etc. to us. In turn, Nurse Chiu is always very good at identifying the families with equipment needs but cannot afford to buy new items; she then tactfully distributes the donated goods to help these families. Nurse Chiu finds fulfillment when she notices improvement in the patients' condition. She treats patients like her own family members. She is a great role-model to others for her persistent spirit and dedication no matter what she has been through; moreover, she has a great passion for her job.

Everyone agrees that Nurse Chiu is the girl-next-door and is a person who likes to help others. Her outstanding performance in the past has been approved and recognized by her colleagues. A special thank you letter written by the mother of a cerebral palsy patient was recently sent to the hospital administrator. In this letter, the mother letter describes the professional care delivered by Nurse Chiu and her friendly and genuine caring attitude towards the patient and family. She was very appreciative of Nurse Chiu’s sensitivity and efforts to minimize pain when she carried out her treatment with the patient. The whole family, including the patient, was impressed with her skills and most importantly Nurse Chiu has earned their trust and respect. Furthermore, Nurse Chiu has also earned the recognition of her supervisors and peers besides earning the one of her patients.
