Julie Barrington

Julie has been a nurse on 2N at Cape Canaveral Hospital for over 20 years and is dedicated to excellence every day.  She is the perfect example of “Every Patient, Every Time”.

Recently Julie had a very sick patient who needed a different bed, wound consult and physical therapy.  Julie went out of her way to coordinate all of those things and more with the least amount of disturbance to her patient.

Julie works wonderfully precepting new nurses, coordinating interdisciplinary services, and helping to note orders at the desk.  She is always willing to help another team member.

Julie advocates for her patients and makes sure their needs are met.  She encourages physical movement, nutrition and skin care.  Julie has a special way of making patients and their families feel they are in wonderful hands when she is their nurse. She is truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
