Karen Rose

The techs, nurses, doctors and aides were faultless and extremely competent.  Karen Rose, in particular took an immense amount of the brunt for my deception in bringing mom to the ER, yet her gentleness with my mom continued to be constant, even arranging a music therapist to play and sing swing-band tunes to calm her in the aftermath of one of my mom’s meltdowns.  Karen Rose never faltered in her help, guidance, problem solving and explanation to my questions of this geriatric condition of dementia.  She also took verbal and physical abuse with me and at one point told me to go home, shower, rest and take a “date night” with my husband.

Yes, I didn’t even realize how much I was broken, hurt and torn apart from my mom’s ugly behavior.  Karen was a bright, kind, caring and blessed gift in a dark, swollen, new, hurtful world I had entered with my mom.
