Lauren Searcy

Here is a summary of the employee nomination criteria: “Lauren is committed to patient care, innovation and dedication to UAMS. She is a giving and caring professional who is always looking for a way to help. Although she has only been an employee at UAMS for 8 months, she has made a definite positive impact on our unit.”

Lauren has a “bath bucket” that she keeps well stocked with specialty hair care supplies for the patients, many of whom arrive on the unit with dirty hair. She not only aids her patients, especially the females so that they do not lose their hair but she is willing to assist any patients on the unit with supplies from her remarkable “bath bucket.”

Lauren spent over two hours with me one day helping to wash, untangle and braid my patient’s hair. She is patient driven and consistently goes above and beyond for the H4 team and patients.

These examples only serve to exemplify Lauren’s typical behavior each and every day to display outstanding and compassionate care to her patients and our families.  Congratulations Lauren for being selected as our December DAISY!
