Lettie Skon

Last week there was a patient on the floor needing a Cat Scan. It was close to change of shift and this patient was to be sedated which required a nurse. Our nurses were going home and the nurses upstairs were very busy. I approached Lettie with questions regarding the type of sedation needed and even though her day was done she willingly talked to the patient’s doctor and then stayed to monitor the patient so the floor nurse would not have to be away from her other patients. Lettie finished up her days work and then came to the Cat Scan to help me. Things took a bit longer than expected but she stayed and was as pleasant as if she was just starting her day.

Lettie demonstrated superior customer care and teamwork. She put the patient first.
