Louann Mace

It’s hard to choose one situation for Louann because there has been so many.  I am the most stable person in my unit, but she made sure I was well taken care of and attended to.  I never felt uncomfortable in anyway.  I couldn’t believe it when she was working in a different pod and made time to come check on me.  She is a very nice person, caring, personable, and genuine.  I can’t think of a single second where I felt ignored or neglected.  When Louann walks in the room you can’t help but smile.  Her presence is radiating! She shines like the north star on the darkest night.  Louann helped me believe that there is hope for me out there, even though it doesn’t feel like it.   Here’s a little poem that reminds me of Louann and her wisdom and care that I was so lucky for her to share with me.

Yesterday is history… Tomorrow is a mystery… Today is a “Gift” and that’s why we call it the “Present”.  Louann makes me feel like everyday is a gift.
