Maria Macabuhay
Maria was hired in 1999 as a registered nurse (RN) in the oncology unit and transferred to the emergency department (ED) in December 2006. She was chosen as the lead RN when one South was in use and was responsible for caring for patients along with rounding and expediting throughput. Her commitment to patient care is reflected in our overall patient satisfaction scores. Maria frequently receives direct compliments related to her care from both her peers and her patients. Her colleagues describe her warmness and kindness with patients and emphasize that she is a great resource for our newer nurses.
