Maria Springer

I was admitted for chest pain and continuous monitoring.  All indications were that I was experiencing cardiac problems.  After a thorough evaluation and an MRI I was diagnosed with a mass in the pituitary stalk.  Maria was in the room with me and my family when the doctor presented us with the results.  She was sympathetic and compassionate to my 9 year old son who was very emotional.  She took him for a walk while the doctors were discussing options with me and my wife.  She went to get my son a drink and helped him deal with my health issue.  She was exceptional and demonstrates all of the qualities you would want for a nurse.  I therefore recommend Maria for a DAISY Award.
